Writing two versions of an essay is not a good idea. It often leads to confusion among readers, and duplicate essays should be merged.
When to merge essays
If two essays contain the exact same (or nearly the exact same) content, but in different words, it is best to merge these essays.
The process for merger
When you identify two duplicate essays, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Proposed_article_mergers#How_to_propose_a_merger.
