Bug report: Broken URL due to colon parsed as HTML escape character

The link to the correct page is broken because the colon is changed to :, and then dropped if you click on the link. (example for Https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:New_York_City_Police_Department; the generated URL is https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:New_York_City_Police_Department instead of the correct https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:New_York_City_Police_Department). –LaundryPizza03 (d c̄) 13:59, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
