I liked the majority of the contents listed in the article. Statement followed by citations makes the clear understanding, as well as systematic. The biological description and genetics section of articles looks very clear and helpful for understanding. Some points I would like to suggest is to add relevant pictures in the article. As there are botanical terminologies, this could be helpful to understand the scientific and non scientific audiences. Section wise, root section and human use seems very little from my point of view. Therefore, adding some points with examples might make the article very interesting. Article Review - BC

I really like the whole structure of article; like outline and descriptions. The way of explaining the growth patterns of Silphium seems very clear and described in a good way. I also suggest to add some pictures (specially biological terms like achene, root system of Silphium, reproductive parts, etc.), that could be useful for the broader content in the article. Moreover, some general topics like introduction and domestication of Silphium can be further expand. I really like overall way of presenting the article. You really did a great job.
