Line Array

A Line Array is a group of speaker cabinets that are arranged in the shape of a curve to cover a wide area of audio coverage. The number of cabinets per arrage range from 4 to as many as 25 cabinets linked together. The angle between each of the two cabinets can be set at many different angles to create the final curvilinear shape. The angles between all the cabinets will determine the width of coverage that the final line array will cover, so it is important for the engineer to keep in mind the specific needs of the act and venue. Many advanced line array systems also offer separate audio processing for each cabinet or a group of cabinets to better tune the array to sound good everywhere.
