care.ai is a technology company focused on building a Smart Care Facility Platform, the company is headquartered in Orlando, Florida. Its primary product includes the industry's first and only AI-powered Smart Care Facility Platform.[1] The Platform transforms care facilities into a real-time AI-powered environment that constantly monitors clinical and operational workflows from the entrance to the bedside. It continually learns and infers only the most relevant information, ultimately predicting problems before they occur and identifying trends that might impact cost and quality. The company has implemented the solution in over 1,500 healthcare facilities across the United States. [2]


Background

care.ai was founded in 2019 in Orlando, Florida, by Chakri Toleti, the Founder and current CEO. Before founding care.ai, Toleti was the Founder and President of HealthGrid, an enterprise patient engagement platform designed to connect patients and providers via their smart devices. [3] In 2018, HealthGrid was acquired by Allscripts to integrate HealthGrid’s functionality into their FollowMyHealth platform. Before HealthGrid, Toleti co-founded Galvanon, a company that first introduced patient self-service kiosk registration to automate patient check-in and intake processes NCR acquired Galvanon in 2005. care.ai uses AI technology deployed throughout a care facility to monitor conditions continuously, constantly learning from behaviors. Collecting behavioral data over time, the care facility becomes more intelligent and self-aware, automating the burdensome tasks of care teams and allowing caregivers to focus on the timely moments of care that only they can provide.

Healthcare settings that care.ai has implemented solutions in include Houston Methodist Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, CommonSpirit Health, Ascension, Kindred Healthcare, Synergy Healthcare Solutions, LifePoint Health, Christus Health, Trilogy Health Services, LLC and more.

The company’s current partners are HealthTrust, Coral (Google Owned)[9], Texas Hospital Association (THA), Nvidia, Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA), Michigan Hospital Association[10], and New Hampshire Hospital Association.
