Structure editor
A structure editor is a kind of source code editor, in which the user manipulates not textual representations of valid source code but rather manipulates the formal syntax of the programming language, which makes it harder to write programs with invalid syntax. Examples of structure editors go as far back as Interlisp-D; a modern example is the PubChem Server Side Structure Editor[1]; such editors are sometimes called WSYIWYG editors.
