The 飛行開発実験団 (Air Development and Test Wing, hikoukaihatsujikkendan) is the sole unit of the Air Development and Test Command of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force based at Gifu Air Field in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. The most noteably aircraft used at Gifu Airbase was thr F-14A during the 1979 competition for the JASDF replacement of the F-104. A singular F-14A was serviced here and used by the Air Development and Test Wing throughout the period of the trials.[1]
