Repeat links
Thanks for the message, Josh.
Again, funny thing, I always liked when All-Pro was there twice. But I noticed many older players had it once only. Even some college conferences. When I started specifying First and Second teams, I put it twice. Honestly, I went back and started correcting what I did and never stopped.
If I left well enough alone, it actually would have saved me a few headaches. Like the all-time record lists, I always figured click on a player and info shows up, great, but then I realized some users might not want to click on a player 10 times in one article.
Stopping now really helps me out, lol.
I knew you would see it and I appreciate you letting me know.

- Hey John, I definitely like seeing it linked multiple times in the infobox as well. It's a tough and largely thankless task working towards making all the NFL infoboxes match up, but I just wanted to say that I appreciate all the work you've been putting in.
- Always happy to help, and I'm glad you're so receptive to the feedback you get @Bringingthewood. Hey man im josh (talk) 11:53, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
- HA! So my work continues. We agree they look better and I'm putting them back. Glad you stopped me.
- Who knows, maybe the older pages will catch up one day. At least we don't have a time limit.
- Being receptive is easy, I usually set myself up for a message or two once I start typing.
- What do you think about the teams played or coached for in the infobox being mentioned multiple times?
- To be honest, I have seen many not being duplicated, so I went with that also.
- Someone out there seemed very persistent with that part. Bringingthewood (talk) 04:18, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- Personally I do like the teams being linked multiple times in the infobox for team/coaching history. I've had the same issue as you with that one too lol. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:49, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- Well, as long as it's within the rules like you said earlier, they'll be linked multiple times when I get there.
- Sorry for leaving you a mini-novel here. I thought there was a Wikipedia taboo about things showing up multiple times.
- The one that gets me is when it says (as a player, as a coach) and in the highlight box right below it, (as player, as coach). Where did the "a" go? I'd like to keep the same wording when I see them, but I didn't want to get 100 extra error-fix edits to my name.
- Thanks for all your help with these issues, Josh. Bringingthewood (talk) 03:09, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

Response to your message
- Hello, I am very sorry if you found problems in my recent edits to the Tyson Looney Tunes Meals page. But you see, I didn't have any malicious intent when making those changes. I was actually just trying to improve the page, because the page's current state was beginning to look outdated. For reference, it has been the page's look for at least five or six years and the gramar on it wasn't very good. I also removed the dead links because, well, a lot of them didn't work. Clicking on them would result in a 404-type page on their respective website. I would appreciate it if we updated the links to be of articles that work. Especially because of how obscure the meals are, as it's very hard to find memorabilia of the other meals on the internet past the original eight, since they've been discontinued for nearly 30 years and little documentation were made on the meals besides their first and last years in production. I won't remove the links we have on the page for now just to keep myself out of any further trouble, but I will restore my rewrite of the article itself because I believe it's much better, with some minor additions. Oh yeah, and the Taz meal did indeed exist. If you look up the meals on Google and do enough looking, you'll find some pictures of the meal's box (alongside many of the other later meals like Henery Hawk Hot Dog) on an Ebay listing. Anyways, I hope you're able to understand that what I am doing is for the best. 144.121.64.194 (talk) 13:37, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

Page wrongly titled
Hello, I don't know if you can do it, I inform you that the page called Isaih Pacheco is wrongly titled, it should be "Isiah Pacheco", I hope you can fix the mistake or let someone know who can. Thank you. Sergio Skol (talk) 21:40, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Sergio Skol,
- Wow, I've never seen this before. So many sites with Isiah's name spelt wrong. Even the article itself had every version of spelling as Isiah.
- What's funny to me is Rutgers has even Tweeted at Isiah.
- I copy and pasted all the content from the misspelled page and placed it on the proper version, the Isiah Pacheco article. I then made Isaih Pacheco into a redirect. Good catch on that one! Hey man im josh (talk) 11:38, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
- I also updated all the links that directed to Isaih Pacheco to now direct to Isiah Pacheco. Luckily it was only 19 pages that needed such changes. Hey man im josh (talk) 11:56, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
Night sky revert
Hi there, please consider reverting the wording to 'killed himself'. This is accurate, neutral, and how it is referred to in the show. 'Commit' does not inherently refer to a crime, but that is the origin of this phrase in particular (e.g. commit homicide), which is now outdated and is recommended to be avoided in the press: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide#Definitions. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.30.183.150 (talk • contribs) 11:10, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @82.30.183.150, that was an interesting read. I find the phrasing of "killed him/herself" to be more blunt and harsh than "committed suicide", but perhaps that's just me. While I don't personally agree that "commit" carries any type of negative connotation (commit to a school, to a partner, to cause), the fact that several news companies have deprecated the phrasing means that at least some people take the phrasing seriously. I've changed it back to your previous phrasing, you have good reasoning for the change you want to make and I appreciate that you took the time reach out about it. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:11, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, I appreciate you taking the time as well. I agree that the phrasing 'killed him/herself' is blunt, but it's not as loaded in my opinion. I personally prefer 'took their own life', but I agree that it is euphemistic for these purposes. Take care :) 82.30.183.150 (talk) 12:40, 16 June 2022 (UTC)

Your opinion
Hi Josh,
I added an accolade (Built Ford Tough Offensive Line of the Year) to John Sullivan (Rams), later seeing it was originally deleted in January. Spf121188 was nice enough to respond to my message asking him about that deletion.
Your name popped up, and I thought of "Mister Accolade". I saw 4 other players that had it listed. These gray areas get me.
I do agree with Spf121188, it really isn't a top-notch award that needs to be there. I'm all for removing them. What do you think?
Another example is the Pop Warner Trophy. Some are in the infobox, some at the bottom of the page. Oh well.
Thank you once again,
John Bringingthewood (talk) 01:34, 18 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Bringingthewood, there's always a concern with accolade creep. It's sometimes hard to decide where to draw the line in what awards and accomplishments are worth mentioning in the infobox, as if we allow too many then infoboxes get way too big and every sponsored award that lasts for 3-5 years ends up included.
- I say WP:BEBOLD and go for the removal, as I do agree with Spf. If someone reverts your removals then you could start a discussion at the NFL Wikiproject talk page. Hey man im josh (talk) 11:18, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
- Sounds good, and I agree with you, too many would cheapen it.
- Lately I've been trying to stay with some that seem to make sense.
- If someone gets upset, they'll definitely speak up, lol.

June 2022 RE: “Eurasian” article
Hi, just regarding mine and then your subsequent edit. I read the article and found some really weird and creepy stuff (some of it sounding racist) written in it, of a much worse quality than I’d ever seen on Wikipedia. Checking the talk page, there really were some genuine racists editing this page, using archaic language and referring to people as “caucasoid”, “mongoloid” and debating whether Jews should be considered white using some pretty overtly antisemitic theories, or how “purely” white celebrities are.
I’m new to Wikipedia editing so I sent an email to the one on the “contact” page, hoping something could be rectified. I got an email back telling me it’s all in the hands of volunteer editors. I thought I should do something, so I removed the parts using archaic language and referring to “mongoloid” and “caucasoid” skulls. On the very Wikipedia page for the world “mongoloid” it’s known to be a racist term for used by anthropologists 100 years ago to try and describe Asian people as being inferior, through describing their skulls as being different to European skulls and being thus inferior.
Anyway that’s what led me to deleting that section and me replying to your message here, explaining that. I guess it just bothered me a lot when I saw racism on Wikipedia and really, I expected a higher standard from it. It’d be a shame if Wikipedia was used to justify peoples racist views — Preceding unsigned comment added by 175.36.199.109 (talk) 11:12, 19 June 2022 (UTC)
I hope that clears that up, All the best. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 175.36.199.109 (talk) 11:08, 19 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @175.36.199.109, the problem is that you removed a large amount of content instead of changing the phrasing. Please do feel free to make updates to the page, but do so in a constructive manner with sources. Hey man im josh (talk) 11:12, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
Edit summary weirdness
Hey there. Just noticed that you've gone through and removed the 'Resides' line from a bunch of pro wrestler infoboxes - the edit summary for all of these, though, reads "Added NFL WikiProject tag to pages listed under Category:National Football League players by team". It caught my attention as the article I first spotted it on is about a guy who never played football. Is this a hiccup in your AWB setup causing the erroneous edit summary, or did something else go amiss? Just wanted to let you know! Tony Fox (arf!) 16:10, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
- Ah damn it!! Resides/residence is a deprecated parameter for the Template:Infobox professional wrestler and I've been mass removing it from affected templates. Thanks so much for pointing this out to me, I'm using WP:AWB and it looks like it just swapped the default summary at some point on me. I may have hit a down arrow in the program or something that caused the summary to change to an older one that I had been using. Definitely just a hiccup on my end, and I really appreciate you bringing this to my attention @Tony Fox. Thankfully it's just on a couple dozen or so pages instead of the entire several hundred I've gone through today. Hey man im josh (talk) 16:16, 20 June 2022 (UTC)

New Page Patrol newsletter June 2022

Hello Hey man im josh,
- Backlog status
At the time of the last newsletter (No.27, May 2022), the backlog was approaching 16,000, having shot up rapidly from 6,000 over the prior two months. The attention the newsletter brought to the backlog sparked a flurry of activity. There was new discussion on process improvements, efforts to invite new editors to participate in NPP increased and more editors requested the NPP user right so they could help, and most importantly, the number of reviews picked up and the backlog decreased, dipping below 14,000[a] at the end of May.
Since then, the news has not been so good. The backlog is basically flat, hovering around 14,200. I wish I could report the number of reviews done and the number of new articles added to the queue. But the available statistics we have are woefully inadequate. The only real number we have is the net queue size.[b]
In the last 30 days, the top 100 reviewers have all made more than 16 patrols (up from 8 last month), and about 70 have averaged one review a day (up from 50 last month).
While there are more people doing more reviews, many of the ~730 with the NPP right are doing little. Most of the reviews are being done by the top 50 or 100 reviewers. They need your help. We appreciate every review done, but please aim to do one a day (on average, or 30 a month).
- Backlog drive
A backlog reduction drive, coordinated by buidhe and Zippybonzo, will be held from July 1 to July 31. Sign up here. Barnstars will be awarded.
- TIP – New school articles
Many new articles on schools are being created by new users in developing and/or non-English-speaking countries. The authors are probably not even aware of Wikipedia's projects and policy pages. WP:WPSCH/AG has some excellent advice and resources specifically written for these users. Reviewers could consider providing such first-time article creators with a link to it while also mentioning that not all schools pass the GNG and that elementary schools are almost certainly not notable.
- Misc
There is a new template available, {{NPP backlog}}
, to show the current backlog. You can place it on your user or talk page as a reminder:
Very high unreviewed pages backlog: 15460 articles, as of 06:00, 8 May 2025 (UTC), according to DatBot
There has been significant discussion at WP:VPP recently on NPP-related matters (Draftification, Deletion, Notability, Verifiability, Burden). Proposals that would somewhat ease the burden on NPP aren't gaining much traction, although there are suggestions that the role of NPP be fundamentally changed to focus only on major CSD-type issues.
- Reminders
- Consider staying informed on project issues by putting the project discussion page on your watchlist.
- If you have noticed a user with a good understanding of Wikipedia notability and deletion, suggest they help the effort by placing
{{subst:NPR invite}}
on their talk page. - If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process and its software.
- To opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself here.

Accuracy complaints are verifiability complaints
Hi Hey man im josh, due to an AIV report about Debanjanepiskey's alleged "not here to build an encyclopedia" behavior, I'm currently looking through their edits and find myself restoring most of them, as the user has voiced concerns about the factual accuracy of statements that lack proper sourcing, and your reaction was to restore the improper sourcing. I just wanted to take a moment to express my disapproval. Best regards, ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:30, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hello @ToBeFree, the information was available in the source provided. Though, now that I've read your revert of one my edits, I've come to realize that the disclaimer at the bottom of the website disqualifies it as a valid source.
- The disputed text was;
As of 2018, the price of residential property in Bhowanipore is amongst the neighbourhoods with high prices in Kolkata, and the price has almost doubled in the last decade
- The information available in the Sales Price Trends graph currently only goes back to Jan-Mar' 09, while it may have been different when originally referenced, I'll list the data for the oldest available sales data;
- Average price values: Jan-Mar' 09
- Upper Range Value: Rs. 4,864 /Sq-ft
- Average Range Value: Rs. 4,631 /Sq-ft
- Lower Range Value: Rs. 4,399 /Sq-ft
- Average price values: Jan-Mar' 18
- Upper Range Value: Rs. 12,177 /Sq-ft, representing a 250% increase
- Average Range Value: Rs. 9,752 /Sq-ft, representing a 211% increase
- Lower Range Value: Rs. 7,327 /Sq-ft, representing a 167% increase
- I explain this not to argue with your decision, but to show that I was not making these reverts without reason.
- I appreciate feedback, and while I don't enjoy an administrator reaching out to me about an issue, I'll work to avoid conflicts like this moving forward. I do see other ways I could have gone about this. Hey man im josh (talk) 22:32, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- First of all, no worries, and thank you very much for the detailed itemization. I think if this had been a purely mathematical statement, there would be no need to complain about even the use of primary sources. What bothered me is the personal interpretation of the data beyond a pure "The price of residential property in Bhowanipore has doubled in the last decade", and the lack of any justification for including the statement in the article at all. Due to inflation all over the world, for example, I guess it would be possible to create similar-looking sentences about most of the world's neighbourhoods, with these sentences having no relevance to the specific articles. An extreme example may be "The price of residential property in X has more than doubled in the last 50 years", which (not taking inflation into account) can probably be added to almost all articles. So where do we draw the line? 10 years are fine, 50 are irrelevant?
- So if I understand the situation correctly, even the best primary sources can't really justify restoring such content; what we need would be a secondary reliable source reporting about how bad the situation is compared to other neighborhoods. If that happens (or has happened), it's probably worth including. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:49, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- Yeah you're right. I'm glad you mention that because I was thinking about it after my last reply, that it's hardly notable due to it happening all over the world. It's definitely not something I'm passionate about having included on an article when considering just how common that situation is now. Hey man im josh (talk) 22:59, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
Hi there, I wanted to clarify what was going on with List of victims of the September 11 attacks. While I initially moved it to draft space, this was reverted due to an issue with redirects, because thousands of pages redirect to it. Instead, I am reverting the article to the version before the bold edits. I have kept a copy of the work-in-progress on my user page for the benefit of the editor who is attempting to build this, and there are no redirect issues related to that copy. There is clearly a lot of work required before that can be published as an article. Cheers. Onetwothreeip (talk) 23:20, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
Hello, hope you're doing great. This is regarding the edits you reverted in List of Muslim military leaders. As far as I can extrapolate, you have some problem regarding the grammatical syntax/linguistics, because questioning well-sourced facts is too trivial and irrational for a reputed Wikipedia member like you. Consequently, I would request you to mention the mistakes I committed in my edit, which engendered a revert, so that I can add the additional facts and, simultaneously adhere to the Wikipedia regulations. --Snapthirsty110 (talk) 03:24, 28 June 2022 (UTC)

Bonfires
Northern Ireland/Ulster is where the United Kingdom's most famous and biggest bonfires take place on the 11th/12th July each year. No other country in the world has that amount of very large and countless bonfires. These are facts that people are either not aware of or choose to ignore. 86.26.238.163 (talk) 11:05, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- @86.26.238.163, that's cool information that I'd be interested in reading more about. Just please provide a source when you add the information and include the info at a relevant point in the article instead of at the very top. I'll leave a welcome link on your userpage with some more information. Hey man im josh (talk) 11:11, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
geneaology
Any idea how I add genealogy from like Ancestry.com? Kalorama20008 (talk) 11:17, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Kalorama20008: I believe that MIGHT fall under original research, but I'm not an expert on that. I encourage you to ask more experienced users than myself at the Wikipedia Help Desk. Hey man im josh (talk) 11:19, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks! Kalorama20008 (talk) 03:41, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

Changes
This changes where made becuase the information was incorrect. Mr. caines is a public figure and the story is being taken out f context to make him look bad. TBDAPG (talk) 12:58, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
I did correct changes
I did some changes with the necessary reason but you are warning me and not making my changes permanent. I want to inform u that what changes i provided are true and you should accept my changes Munisuvrat (talk) 13:54, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Munisuvrat, the content you've been removing is relevant to the article. Do you by any chance have a source that discredits findings of temples for other religions? There are many sources in the section you've been trying to remove, including a picture of a Shiva temple which is supposedly from that location. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:59, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
- No, It's wrong, because this whole page is only about Jainism and the whole mountain is under the control of Jain Sangh. So the content should be removed Munisuvrat (talk) 14:06, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
- The page, Palitana temples, is about Palitana temples, and some of them happen to relate to religions outside of Jainism. It does not harm the article to mention that there are temples with other religious associations there. In fact, many may argue it actually improves the article by mentioning additional information. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:13, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
- Seriously @Munisuvrat? We're discussing the content of the article and then you go ahead and remove it anyways? Wikipedia is meant to be a collaboration, not POV pushing. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:19, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

Bone Edit
Apologies for the lack of neutrality. I'm sure someone else will be along to do a better edit but given the job was just created for the person concerned by the person who just resigned I think you will have problems dealing with the question of neutrality given it really does not apply. 82.69.102.60 (talk) 17:51, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
Ciro Immobile edit
Perhaps you are correct with your judgement on my recent edit of Ciro Immobile's wiki page. Thanks for letting me know! 2A02:C7E:26B7:700:7DC4:BE58:4BA7:3794 (talk) 00:11, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
