SimpleScreenRecorder is a Qt-based screencast software made for Unix operating systems, which was created as a simpler alternative to programs such as ffmpeg/avconv and VLC.[1][2]
Features
SimpleScreenRecorder can record the entire computer screen, a defined region of the screen,[3] specific OpenGL applications, or an area around the cursor.[4] The program captures both video and audio and the capturing can be paused. The program also shows statistics about the computer's performance during recording.[5] The program exports in multiple video formats with adjustable levels of quality.[6][7][8]
