Visual Nature Studio is a 3D visualisation program for Microsoft Windows developed by 3D Nature. It can be used to produce photorealistic still images or animations of real or fictional landscapes by using DEM and GIS as input. Realtime output to formats such as VRML or Google Earth is possible through the use of the Scene Express add-on.

The Visual Nature Studio featurelist includes:

  • Import of various popular DEM and GIS formats
  • Import of various popular 3D object formats
  • Extensive environmental controls (atmosphere, ecosystems, vegetation)
  • Support for very large images (making it possible to overlay aerial photos over the terrain)
  • Volumetric atmosphere
  • Export to various popular image and movie formats
  • Dynamic linking of objects (ecosystems, lakes, vegetation etc.) to GIS vectors.
