The Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML) is an artificial intelligence and machine learning research and translation institute based at the Lot Fourteen innovation precinct in Adelaide, South Australia.

With more than 160 members, AIML is Australia’s largest university-based research site dedicated to machine learning and ranks consistently among the global top sites for its computer vision research capability.[1]

History

An institute of the University of Adelaide, AIML was established in 2018[2] and officially joined Lot Fourteen as a tenant in 2020.[3] The Government of South Australiadedicated $7.1m into the opening of the institute.[4]

In 2018, Lockheed Martin became the AIML's first Foundation Partner.[5]
