2022 Garry's Mod hacking incident

The 2022 Garry's Mod hacking incident began on June 2nd, 2022, when the creator of the "Glue Library" addon to Garry's Mod was banned from the game. Then, pornographic content, gore, etc. were added to jumpscare players which loaded in the game with the add on installed, one of the jumpscares, being the most infamous, was a video of beloved children's TV character Spongebob SquarePants saying slurs and overall, being racist. The Glue Library addon wasn't the only Garry's Mod addon affected, as other addons were hacked to display the jumpscares once the player loaded in.
