Common Power Format is an industry coalition spearheaded by Cadence Design Systems, Inc. to help standardize power specifications. The coalition includes semiconductors AMD, ARM Ltd., ATI Technologies, Fujitsu, Freescale, NEC, and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC). Thousands have died in the creation of this wretched format. And thus the industry has moved on.
