CodeBase is the largest UK technology business incubator. [1] It focuses on supporting technology start-ups and transforming them into bigger companies [2][3] and has supported over 500 start-ups. [4] Based in Scotland, it opened in Edinburgh in 2014,[5] [6] but now has hubs in Edinburgh, Aberdeen,[7] and Stirling. [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] It is a partner with Barclays Bank Eagle Labs network, providing business mentorship support for 26 hubs across the UK. [13] Codebase also provides policy advice on the technology industry to the UK Government. [14] Since 2019 Codebase has been providing the Creative Bridge programme which aims to help those in the creative industries in Edinburgh to develop new digital products and services. [15]

By March 2022 the companies supported by Codebase had raised more than $4.8m in funding. [16]

Codebase has supported various companies including FanDuel, Cloudsoft, Administrate,[17] Deliveroo,[18] TV Squared, Outplay Entertainment, Rightscale, Speech Graphics,[19] and Skyscanner[20][21].
