Open Source Press

Open Source Press was a computer book publisher based in Munich, Germany. The company specialized in high-quality publications on topics related to open-source software and philosophy.[1] It was founded in 2003 and ceased publishing activities at the end of 2015.
The publisher sold its books both in classic book form and digitally as e-books, specialized in Linux and open source software and was aimed at administrators, programmers and users.[2]
According to Open Source Press, it felt it was its own duty to contribute to the open source community and, in particular, to help open source gain more recognition.[3]
The manager, Markus Wirtz formerly worked as editor in chief for SUSE Press.
