PPP relies on the Logical Contorl Protocol(LCP)to establish,maintain,and terminate commnications.LCP use a variety of configuration,Monitoring,debugging,and termination packets. Once commnications have been established, and the networking state has been entered,PPP next uses the Network Control Protocol(NCP).In the networking state,PPP uses NCP to encapslate data coming from various network layer protocols,Including IP.
