Playdata Charts is a weekly airplay chart, measuring songs being played on radio stations in Nigeria across all musical genres that are published on its website, with data gathered from its proprietary PlayData Broadcast Monitoring service. The company provides a weekly top 10 airplay chart (previously top 100 until 2016). The first airplay chart was issued on 20 December 2015, and was led by Drake "Hotline Bling". In 2017, the chart began monitoring television stations. It operated as Nigeria's official music chart from 20 December 2015, to 3 December 2017, with an End Year chart published on 14 January 2018, and led by Runtown "Mad Over You".

History

On 20 December 2015, Playdata launched as a top 100 airplay chart, until 10 January 2016, it began providing top 10. In 2017, it provides an additional chart, known as the Most played songs on Nigerian radio.
