Usage

This is a sub-module of Module:Canada NTS, which provides it with its name functionality. This sub-module can be accessed using {{#invoke:Canada NTS|name}}, and the data is sourced from Natural Resources Canada's Toporama tool.

The names that are returned, either without a pipe or after the pipe, are exactly as printed on the actual National Topographic System maps, and need to not be changed. The articles they link to, however, before the pipe, can be updated, and the coordinates for each article must match the associated NTS map sheet IDs, as calculated using {{#invoke:Canada NTS|grid}}, to minimize any chance of confusion. Not all NTS map sheets have a title, and those map sheets are listed in this database as "" – empty string.

  • Total number of published NTS map sheets: 13,230 – this database has 14,138 (1:250,000: 913; 1:50,000: 13,225) map sheets
  • Total number of NTS map sheets without titles: 3,453 – this database has 3,453 untitled map sheets
