The common spotted cuscus is a small, nocturnal marsupial that lives in southeastern Australia and New Guinea. The cuscus is about 20-40 inches long (including tail), weighs 3-9 pounds, and varies in color. It has a long, prehensile tail and lives in trees. It is an omnivore and may live for up to 11 years.

The cuscus belongs to the possum (Phalangeridae) family.
