Parallax Press is a nonprofit book publisher founded and inspired by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. It is part of the Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism.[1] Parallax Press publishes more than a hundred books by Thich Nhat Hanh and is also the publishing home of authors writing in the intersection of contemplative practice; personal and collective healing; and activism for peace, the protection of the Earth, and social justice.[2] Authors include Thich Nhat Hanh, Sister Chan Khong, Sister Annabel Laity, the 14th Dalai Lama, Joanna Macy, Sister Jina Chan Dieu Nghiem, Brother Phap Hai, George Mumford, Larry Ward, Sister Dang Nghiem, Marc Andrus, Pablo d'Ors, Alberto Blanco (poet), Jaimal Yogis, and Mayumi Oda. Since April 2016 Parallax Press books have been distributed by Penguin Random House Publisher Services.[3]
Mission
Parallax Press is a nonprofit publisher founded by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. We publish books and media on the art of mindful living and Engaged Buddhism. We are committed to offering teachings that help transform suffering and injustice. Our aspiration is to contribute to collective insight and awakening, bringing about a more joyful, healthy, and compassionate society.[4]
