Silver Screen Classics is a Canadian English language Category B specialty channel owned by Channel Zero Inc. Silver Screen Classics broadcasts films primarily from the 1930s to the 1960s; including feature films, silent films, serials, shorts, and more.

The channel launched in high definition in September 2018 with its launch on IHR Telecom.[1]

History

Original logo (2003-2005)

On August 1, 2002, Moses Znaimer were granted a license for the Canadian Radio-television Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) for Znaimer's Classic Movies Service, a channel shows classic movies from the 30s to the 60s.

The channel was launched on September 2, 2003, under the ownership of Znaimer's 873671772 Canada Inc. In 2007, ZoomerMedia purchased Silver Screen Classics. On May 1, 2017, Znaimer sold the channel to Channel Zero.
