OSDL (Open Source Development Lab) was founded in 2000 and has investment backing from Computer Associates, Fujitsu, Hitachi, HP, IBM, Intel, NEC and others.



OSDL sponsors key industry projects, including industry initiatives to enhance the Open source Linux for use in corporate data centers and in telecommunications networks.


OSDL has data centers in Portland, Oregon and Yokohama, Japan.
