The Open Knowledge Repository is an open-access repository with research content about development run by the World Bank. It was launched in 2012. Among its contents are World Bank Group Annual Reports, books published by the World Bank Group, and World Development Reports.[1]

It is built on the open-source platform DSpace. It complies with Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI) standards and its metadata is exposed by the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH). Most content is available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. Nearly half of the users of the Open Knowledge Repository are in developing countries. Its user interface is available English, French, and Spanish.[1]
