Re-creation

I have created a proposal for this template recreation - available here User:Kozuch/Web browsers. It is mostly rewritten the List of web browsers, but there are still few sections to add. I think it is nice to have a template that covers all web-browser articles on all pages because of easier navigation. Netscape

The template seems to contain browsers both past and current. Netscape's not the only one; there's also NetCaptor and the older IEs. I suppose it wouldn't make any sense to remove Netscape by itself. Maybe, if you'd like, we could somehow differentiate between live and dead browsers in the template? -Clueless (talk) 23:40, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Or perhaps we could format the dead ones differently (italics or non-bold, perhaps?) so that they still remain categorized by their rendering engine (i.e., Trident or Mozilla or others)? Do you think that info's useful enough to keep? -Clueless (talk) 17:19, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

that sounds better. but no matter how we made this: we should del them, mark as discontinued or extra group or something els, because so it is too unclear. we could also del the internet suits out of this template since i made a new template extra for them. at that time i expand the internet suites article! mabdul 0=* 17:26, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Speaking of Netscape, the box now lists "Netscape 6 to 9" in the Gecko category and "Netscape 8" in the category above it... RobertM525 (talk) 19:12, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Lunascape (web browser)

Redesign again

maybe we should made a redeasign and rm the disconntinued browsers/made an extra template for them. and we have too many template!

The Pwn2Own contest is a hacking contest to exploit web browsers. how should it more specific? The article is quite young, but in a few days all relevant information will be added! (the part that it is for browser is at that moment missing!) mabdul

Hi, Mabdul. Thanks for the notice. I do not want to trouble you over such a trifle. I don't mind much. Well, I think text-based rendering is a form of layout rendering, albeit the extremely simple one. However, Java has nothing to do with layout rendering at all. In fact if you look at the browsers in Java section, each of them have their own layout engine. Oh, and one more thing: Before I split the mobile and desktop browsers in this category, Opera Mini was listed under Presto section, while it is known that Opera Mini is a Java application. (There were other mobile browsers too, like Mozilla Firefox Mobile. Some in this group and some in that.)

Like I said, I don't want to trouble you at all. If you are unsatisfied and wish to play fair, call a third opinion. But even if you don't, I don't mind. Fleet Command (talk) 00:51, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

DS & DSi Browsers.
