Did a fairly heavy overhaul of this page, and handled all outstanding requests on this discussion page. As all the requests were over a year old, but very simple to implement, I've removed them from the discusson page.

I think there's too much information on the page in a lousy format now though, but I'm afraid of processing it further until others get a chance to look at it, and hopefully comment on my cleanup and changes. 208.65.181.109 23:33, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Huffman coding?

Isn't this just a special case of Huffman coding where the symbols are assumed to be equally probable? Should this be mentioned in the article? Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii (talk) 23:58, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
