How to Fix Radios is a Canadian drama film, directed by Emily Russell and Casper Leonard and released in 2021.[1] The film centres on the friendship between Evan (James Ruddell), a shy and isolated teenager in smalltown Ontario whose worldview is challenged when he takes a summer job at a bait shop where his supervisor is the more assertive and openly gay Ross (Dimitri Watson).

The film premiered on March 5, 2021, at the Kingston Canadian Film Festival,[2] and was subsequently screened in May at the Inside Out Film and Video Festival.[3]

Location

the film was largely shot in Frontenac County and Lennox and Addington two rural riding just outside of Kingston, Ontario during the summer of 2020. This is also where the majority of the cast and crew grew up. scenes were shot specifically in the towns of Hardington, Newburgh, Tichborne, Parham, and Godfrey.

Soundtrack/Score

the How to Fix Radios Soundtrack consisted of a combination of songs and instrumentals. the score was written by Hector Jenkins and Simon Kerr and featured folky guitar and synth tracks.
