The film had its worldwide premiere at the 71st Berlin International Film Festival on March 1, 2021.[3] It is scheduled to be released on September 10, 2021, by Shout! Studios.

The film had its world premiere at the 71st Berlin International Film Festival in the Berlinale Special section on March 1, 2021.[5] It also screened at South by Southwest on March 17, 2021.[6] Shortly after, Shout! Studios acquired U.S. distribution rights to the film.[7] It is scheduled to be released on September 10, 2021.[8]

Reception

Language Lessons holds a 94% approval rating on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, based on 32 reviews, with a weighted average of 7.50/10. The site's critics consensus reads: "Language Lessons extols the value of friendship with a simple story rendered all the more effective by its pure spirit and the chemistry between its leads."[9]
