Here are some tasks awaiting attention:

Assess : in order to know how well we are going, we need to assess the state of articles we are concerned with.
- (2021-03-10) GNU/Linux naming controversy
- (2021-03-10) Emacs
- (2021-03-10) CUPS
- (2021-03-10) Ubuntu
Cleanup : for more involved fixes.
Copyedit : for light fixes, like spelling, tone, layout.
- (2021-03-10) ExifTool – there must be a better solution for those long lists
Expand : some articles are simply missing significant pieces of information.
- (2021-03-08) Current and ongoing activities of Free Software Foundation require updating and adding some more description
Maintain :
- Portal:Free and open-source software
- Recruit Wikipedians to the project
- Collaborate with Wikipedia:WikiProject Linux
- Nominate an article for improvement on the talk page
Stubs : Stubs are articles that someone has started, but need help in their expansion. Free software related stubs in need of your help can be found in Category:Free software stubs.
Working with this to-do list : A few useful tips and rules

- add Your user signature and timestamp after an icon with ~~~~
- strike-through the entry on this list using <s> </s> , which produces: ~~this~~. Do not strike the user signature and timestamp.
