What would appear to be an obvious criticism of this theory is that the proponents 'discovered' that activity within each cortical lobe except the visual cortex is correlated with IQ scores. So, it appears that they've discovered that brain activity is involved in intelligence, which would not appear to advance theory profoundly. They downplay the use of temporal lobe, although it is previously demonstrated that temporal lobe is critical for verbal and arithmetic processing, which are heavily represented on intelligence measures. On the other hand, the emphasis on integration may be an important step forward, given that neuropsychology literature was focused on the particulate level (see the Finger Tapping Test for example). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.118.195.112 (talk) 20:34, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
