This is a list of Opera browser tools useful with Wikipedia, with installation and usage instructions:

Some tools from the "Mozilla Firefox" section that also work partially/fully (or very often better) in Opera (and probably many other browsers)

  • Userscripts:
    • Picture Popups - enlarge images in place, or open them in HTML popups inside the page - no new windows opened.
    • Link Complete - auto-complete links to articles in the edit box by pressing tab or ctrl-space.
    • Auto Complete - Adds an auto-complete dropdown to the search input in the navigation bar on the left.
    • Search Box - Search and replace in the editbox. Supports regular expressions.
  • Search keywords:
    • URL shortcut – allows typing of "wp" followed by the Wikipedia page name to load that page. If the page doesn't exist, a search is performed.
(To use these in Opera, simply bookmark and select "Show in Panel".)
