PDB acronym

Hello,

PDB acronym stands for "Program Debug Database".

Not solely "Program Database".

Cheers!

Portable PDB

There're efforts to create a PDB variant that doesn't depend on proprietary libraries and can be used on OSes other than Windows. The plan is to support it in Roslyn which already works on Unix but doesn't generate debug information there. Will be worth to mention PPDB in the article if gets traction. Wrong Mime-Type?

chemical/x-pdb seems to be the wrong MIME type for the debugging info. That MIME type is linked to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protein_Data_Bank_(file_format)
