Carpal valgus is a deformity in quadrupedal animals of the carpus joint. It causes the limb to point outward, deviating away from the body.[1]

Causes

Diagnosis

Significant carpal valgus is often apparent visually. Diagnosis is usually made through physical examination, which can include manipulation of the limbs.[2] Radiographs can be used to assess the location of the deviation, the degree of deviation from normal, the condition of the bones within the affected joint, the appearance of the growth plates, and response to treatment over time.[3]
