Dont Steal Mac OS X.kext is a file present in certain versions of the Mac OS X Operating System (currently the version that runs on the Intel Core Duo processor family) requesting that users of Mac OS X not "steal" it (i.e., that they not hack Mac OS X to run on generic white box hardware). The file is located at /System/Library/Extensions on the volume containing the operating system.

It is commonly believed that Apple makes a large percentage of their profits from the sale of computer hardware bought specifically to run their Mac OS X Operating System. If this is true then the adaptation of Mac OS X to run on standard PC hardware could be a financial blow to the company.
