Rajrappa

Rajrappa is a project under Central Coalfields Limited (CCl), A Subsidiary of the Coal India Limited. It is widely known as the Rajrappa Project, which consist of the main query (a huge open cast mine), offices, colonies, recreation facilities, shopiing complexes, a police out-post and public utility buildings. It is a complete township in itself. Its USP is that not everybody can reside there. It is only for the employees of CCL. That has helped it to retain it's charm and beauty. It is a tourist place and is famous for the 'Chinnamasta Temple' (a 'roop' of Goddess Kaali) which is situated on the bank of the confluence of rivers Bhairavi and Damodar. The temple itself is nestled amidst dense plantation 8 kilometres away from the Colony. The place gets it's name from the temple which is known as 'Rajrappa Mandir'.
