Hi all!

I'm quite new to wikipedia. My main interests are in linguistics, especially in phonetics. I'm also quite good in tengwar.

I live in the city of Berne in Switzerland, and so I speak the Alemannic German dialect of Berne, aka Bernese German, which has the rare feature among Germanic languages that consonant and vowel length are independent from each other.

I'm also a user of the German wikipedia. J. 'mach' wust 09:39, 26 May 2004 (UTC)

  • Hi! It would be great if you gave the "German" pages a look. German language, German spelling reform of 1996, ß, etc. I have started poking around a bit, but (1) some more drastic changes would be nice, and (2) things are more fun if more people are editing the same page.
