Ernest Linton Button[2] was a New Zealand rugby union and professional rugby league footballer who played representative rugby league (RL) for New Zealand.[1]

Playing career

Originally a rugby union player, Button represented Canterbury.[3]

Button switched codes and played for City in the Canterbury Rugby League in 1914.[3] During that season he represented Canterbury and was selected to play for New Zealand in a Test match against the Great Britain Lions. Button later joined Linwood.[3]
