És depredat per Perissodus microlepis[6] i Plecodus straeleni.[7][8]
Hàbitat
És una espècie de clima tropical entre 23°C-28 °C de temperatura.[9][3]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba a Àfrica: llac Tanganyika.[3][10][11][12]
