In this course we cover the microbiology of bacterial and fungal organisms of clinical importance to veterinary medicine. Although this is not a course in clinical infectious diseases, content will be delivered from a clinical perspective with an emphasis disease presentation, virulence factors, sample collection strategies, laboratory identification, zoonotic risks and antimicrobial stewardship.
