The allegory of the cave describes a false consciousness in it's purest for while SCT describes a shared reality. This is not the same. The participants in constructing fantasy theme etc. are not isolated from other people, the media, etc. but they come to share a collective "fantasy" of the world. Fantasies are not "false consciousnesses" but "enlightened" paradigms. undo Tag: Visual edit
