This test aims to measure the effect of vigorously archiving old messages on shared IP talk pages. We have divided [[:Category:Wikipedia user talk pages of shared IP addresses]] (about 38,000 talk pages) in half. The control group is left untouched, while the test group is archived every 14 days (if there are no edits or active blocks on that page). We have also replaced the header templates on some of these pages with [[Wikipedia:WikiProject_user_warnings/Testing/Shared_IPs#Shared IP banners|more friendly, welcoming messages]] that encourage users to create an account. At the end of the test, we will measure:

# Whether there was an increase in constructive editing from IPs that had their pages archived.
