Xanthopimpla modesta[4] är en stekelart som först beskrevs av Smith 1859. Xanthopimpla modesta ingår i släktet Xanthopimpla och familjen brokparasitsteklar.[5][6] Utöver nominatformen finns också underarten X. m. microcephala.[5]
