Many Wikipedians organise themselves by subject area, there are hundreds of WikiProjects. For editing about women Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red is a great place to start.

The subjects range from Arts to Zoology, so there will be ones that fit your interests. A good place to look for them is Category:WikiProjects by topic, alternatively the talkpages of articles you are interested in may have links to relevant Wikiprojects.
