W Medical Strategy Group
[edit]W Medical Strategy Group (WMSG) is a healthcare consulting firm that provides services to medical and healthcare companies in East Asia working to expand their businesses to the United States.[1][2] Services include market forecasting, U.S. partnerships, raising capital investment, securing key opinion leaders (KOLs), medical device 510k support, M&A support, and product distribution.[1]
WMSG is headquartered in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and provides consulting from more than 150 medical doctors and specialists in the United States, South Korea, Australia, Brazil, and Germany.[2][3] Clientele industries range between healthcare, drug development, medical devices, cosmetics, and nutraceuticals.[1]
Company History

[edit]WMSG was first founded in February 2014 by Dr. DoHyun Cho, former U.S. director of the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI), and now President and Chief Executive Officer of the company.[2][3][4] Shortly after, physician and attorney Joseph Mcmenamin, and former U.S. FDA reviewer Mark Paxton were recruited as Executive Vice Presidents.[3]
Distribution Business

[edit]Established in June 2015, Green Alley is a cosmetics distribution business under WMSG that specializes in natural and eco-friendly Korean beauty products. Brands under Green Alley include isoi, CICAGO, Knours, Manyo Factory, Graymelin, and Commleaf.[5]
In December 2015, Green Alley became the first and official vendor of Korean cosmetics for Whole Foods Market stores in the northeast, and soon expanded to locations in the midwest and Florida.[6][7][8] isoi, a brand under Green Alley, received the EWG VERIFIED™ mark in June 2016 by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) in recognition of avoiding EWG's chemicals of concern, such as porpolyethylene glycol (PEG), polypropylene glycol (PPG), sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), sodium laureth sulphate (SLES) and parabens.[7][9]
W MediTech
[edit]W MediTech is a distribution business unit for medical devices, and was launched in May 2014 under WMSG.
New York Health Forum
[edit]The New York Health Forum (NYHF) is a quarter-annual, one-day forum that hosts discussions on the latest trends and issues in healthcare.[10] Held at the Yale Club of New York City, the NYHF convenes physicians, other healthcare professionals, academia, researchers, policymakers, investors, and journalists to facilitate discourse on the chosen topics.[10] The first forum was held in December 2014, and there have been 12 forums in total since.[10][11]
The NYHF also rewards individuals or organizations with the NYHF Contribution Award who have made "significant achievements [and] contributions to the advancement of the healthcare industry or the New York Health Forum".[12]

[edit]World Asian Medical Journal
[edit]The World Asian Medical Journal (WAMJ), formerly titled the World Korean Medical Journal (WKMJ), is a quarter-yearly, 40,000-circulation business publication targeting physicians, other healthcare professionals, and industry executives of East Asian heritage in healthcare.[13][14] Contents of each issue include a cover story on a healthcare professional with leadership, an entrepreneur interview with an industry executive, reports in biopharmaceutical R&D, clinical development, and drug policy as written by contracted healthcare journalists, the latest news within healthcare, and alerts for upcoming conference events.[14]
The publication released its inaugural issue in February 2014, and at the time was called WKMJ.[13] After 18 issues, WKMJ was relaunched as WAMJ in June 2019 to expand its coverage in South Korea to the larger region of East Asia.[14]
