Microwave Tomography
[edit]Microwave Tomography is a process of creating images of bulk electrical parameters (e.g., permittivity and electrical conductivity) by measuring scattered electromagnetic waves in the microwave frequency range (0.3 GHz to 300 GHz). It is an example of an Inverse problem, and more specifically, an example of an Inverse scattering problem. In general the word tomography implies imaging a 3D object through a series of "cuts" or "slices", however, the term Microwave Tomography is often used for full 3-dimensional imaging.
Applications of Microwave Tomography include Nondestructive testing and Medical imaging.
