Tommy Newport (born Oliver Milmine; 1999) is an English-American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. Known for his falsetto vocals, Indie infused funk and genre-fluid compositions, he rose to prominence in the late 2010s with viral indie-pop and neo psychedelic tracks, blending elements of funk, rock, and experimental pop.[1][2]
Early Life
[edit]Newport was born in Preston, England, and relocated to the United States at age six, living in Seattle, Fort Worth, and Wichita, Kansas. He began playing guitar at age 14 and self-recorded his debut bedroom album under his surname 'Milmine' at age 16. His track “Altered State of Mind” went viral and garnered over 13 million streams, launching his professional career.[3][4][5]
