TOI-6034 b is an exoplanet about 385 light-years away from the Earth. It orbits the TOI-6034 star[1][2] and so far is the only know planet orbiting it.[3][4]

Physical characteristics

[edit]

It is a gas giant with a mass of about 254±24 M🜨(earth masses) or about 0.798±0.075 MJ(Jupiter masses) and a density of about 0.82g/cm3. Its radius is about 1.063±0.042 Rjup(Jupiter radius) or 11.92±0.48R🜨(earth radius) or ≈75995.996 Km and a diameter of about 151991.992 Km.[2][1][5]

Orbital characteristics

[edit]

Its semi major axis is about 0.02949 astronomical units and the radius of its orbit is about 0.02949 AU. Its orbit eccentricity is about 0.04 and it takes about 2.0576184 earth days to orbit its star. Its orbit inclination is is about 87.06°.[5][2][1]

Discovery

[edit]

TOI-6034 b was first discovered by NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) mission in 2023 and was announced in 2024.[1]

Host star

[edit]

Its host star is TOI-6034 it is extremely common, small and comparatively redder than most stars. It is an M type star which is cooler than the sun.[5][2][3][1]
