Steve Burgess is a Vancouver-based writer and broadcaster. He is the author of Who Killed Mom? A Delinquent Son's Mediation on Family, Mortality, and Very Tacky Candles[1] (Greystone), Reservations: The Pleasures and Perils of Travel[2] (Douglas & McIntyre), and Cheapskate in Lotusland: The Philosophy and Practice of Living Well on a Small Budget[3] (Douglas & McIntyre).
Burgess is the author of the political humour column Please Advise! in The Tyee.ca. He is the former host of the talk show @the end on CBC Newsworld and CBC British Columbia. He was co-director of the Network Entertainment documentaries I Am JFK Jr., Facing Putin, and The Cowboy.
