Bio
[edit]Mr. Beat, otherwise known as Matt Beat is American Musician, former history teacher, podcaster,Youtuber, occasional wedding D.J. Mr. Beat was born in 1984. He lives in Lawrence, Kansas. He currently makes Youtube videos about American History and World History. He also used to worker in T.V. and broadcasting industry.
Teaching Career
[edit]He was formerly a Middle School history teacher.[1] He held this position for 12 years from 2009 to 2021. He left this position though and he started making his educational history videos full time. At this time he was 39[2] years old.
YouTube Series
[edit]One of his most well known series' is "Presidential Elections in American History".[3][4] This series covers all the American presidential elections from the election of President George Washington to the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election. Some of his other Youtube series' include Supreme Court Cases[5][6][7]. He even made a book on the subject![8] He also made a series called "Songs about the Presidents." The later series has installments such as "The Andrew Jackson song"[9] and The Joe Biden song."
YouTube Collabs
[edit]Mr. Beat has done Youtube collabs (collaborations) with channels such as Usefulcharts, [10], History abridged with Jack Rackham, and Vlogging Through History.
Mr. Beast Comparison
[edit]One of his lesser known videos is Mr. Beast vs. Mr. Beat, comparison by Mr. Beat of himself to famous Youtube, Jimmy Donaldson also known as Mr. Beast. This is teasing at the fact that the two channels' names are so similar.[11]
Music
[edit]Mr. Beat's music are made up of History songs posted on Spotify, Apple Music and Youtube. He also has a band called "Electric Needle Room". Mr. Beat has two podcasts, Mr. Beat and Story Time with Mr. Beat. The podcasts are available on Spotify, Apple Music and his website, iammrbeat.com[12]. He has a Discord server[13] where his fans can suggest video topics[14] There is also a fan made subreddit devoted to his videos.
