On February 2, 2024 a Matt Pelham solo act album was announced for spring 2024 (The album was silently delayed). Matt later announced Matt & The Watt Gives and a show on March 1, 2024 at Happy Trails Brewing Co. Sparta, Tn. Which is where The Features were originated. They played another show on March 23, 2024 at Collin’s River BBQ.

Singles, Christmas song and Matt & The Watt Gives Album (2024-Present)

On October 16, 2024 the band's first single "Cutting Ties" released under YK Records. The art was done by Edith Pelham and the track had drums done by Rollum Hass (Former drummer for The Features).[1] The band then opened for The Privates reunion on November 9, 2024 at The Basement. On December 6, 2024 YK Records released the YK Records Holiday Sampler 2024. Which features the Matt & The Watt Gives song “No Child (Wants Their Picture Made With Santa)”. The song also got a video with pictures of crying children sitting on Santa's lap The Holiday Sampler also includes the Features song “The New Christmas Wish Book” from the band's 2004 single with the same name.[2] Later on December 19, 2024 the band played at the YK Records Holiday Party Extravaganza! Heading into 2025 the band released their second single under YK Records titled "The Shade" on April 23, 2025. The artwork was also done by Edith Pelham.[3] They then played The Basement on April 25, 2025.[4] "The Shade later got a music video on May 2, 2025.[5] Later on May 9, 2025 they played the Happy Trails Brewing Co in Sparta, TN again. On May 23, 2025 they released their most recent single yet "'Til You". Which also features art done by Edith Pelham and Roger Dabbs (Previous Bass player for The Features) on bass.[6][7] Their first album titled "Matt & The Watt Gives" Released on June 13, 2025. The album cover has art again done by Edith Pelham.[8][9][10][11] The album was released on vinyl as a Apple Red color for the first 250 copies and a plain black for the rest.[12][13][14][15]On June 28, 2025 the band did an album release party at Olive and Sinclair Chocolate Co. The album release party included special Coffee, Peanut, Sea Salt and Dark Chocolate Matt & The Watt Gives chocolate with more art done by Edith Pelham. Along with Tattoos done by Edith Pelham, black light posters for sale and free Calf Killer beer which is based out of Sparta, Tn and co founded by Don Segio (former member of The Features). Rollum Hass's band The Robe along with The Arcade Aquarium were opening acts. The band played all of the tracks off the album (Besides Chemo Blues) and they played their currently un-released song Hymn 43.On July 15, 2025 their song "'Til You" got a music video.[16] On August 9, 2025 they played The Basement.[17] Then on August 29, 2025 they played Eastside Bowl.[18] They then played Cherry ST. Tavern on September 13, 2025.[19] Soon on October 10 2025 they will play at the McMinnville Tree City grand opening.[20]
