Legolas Stewart (born May 16, 2003) is an American powerlifter from Manchester, Michigan, known for his multiple first-place finishes in the American Powerlifting Federation (APF), including the 2024 and 2025 Michigan State Championships.[2][3] Competing in raw and wrapped divisions across various weight classes, he has achieved a personal best total of 1,631.4 lb (wraps). Early Life
[edit]Legolas Stewart was born on May 16, 2003, in Bay City, Michigan, and raised in Redford, Michigan, before moving to Manchester, Michigan. He began strength training at age 13, inspired by WSM competitions. During his freshman year at age 15, Stewart lifted an Olympic barbell for the first time in his school’s weight room, performing over 10 repetitions with 315 lbs. This experience led him to pursue competitive powerlifting and he gained recognition among peers for his strength.[4] At this time, he set a lifelong goal to deadlift over 1,000 lbs. Stewart began training for competitive powerlifting, entering his first competition at 16 in the 148 lb weight class.[5] He currently works as a butcher at Manchester Market, balancing his career with training.[6]
